Oats cooked in coconut cream with saffron, turmeric, and dried goldenberries - this is Jennifer's personal morning ritual in a bowl. The saffron turns everything golden and fragrant, the goldenberries add a tart chew, and a pat of cultured vegan butter at the end makes it feel truly luxurious.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream
  • 1/4 tsp fresh minced turmeric (or dried ground)
  • 3 strands saffron
  • 8–10 dried goldenberries
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Miyoko's cultured vegan butter for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Bring oats, water, and coconut cream to a boil.
  2. 2Once boiling, reduce to a simmer and stir in turmeric, saffron, goldenberries, and pepper.
