Superpower Sour Smoothie

Blueberries, banana, lemon, maca, spirulina, and turmeric - this smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse with a bright, sour edge that wakes you up from the inside out. The lemon is the star: add the full half for a super-sour version, or just a squeeze for something more mellow.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 frozen banana, broken in half
- 3/4 cup water (plus more as needed)
- 1/2 lemon, de-seeded and peel removed
- 1 tbsp maca powder
- 1/2 tsp each spirulina and turmeric
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- 1Put everything in the blender except the lemon.
- 2For a super-sour version, add the juice of the other half of the lemon and start with just 1/2 cup water, adding more as needed.
- 3Blend until smooth.
- 4Garnish with frozen blueberries and a pinch of turmeric.
