French toast reimagined with a chia-flax batter and a warm strawberry sauce that pours over the top like a love letter. It's tender, golden, and just sweet enough - the kind of breakfast that makes an ordinary morning feel like a celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup nut milk
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Small piece of fresh turmeric, grated (or 1/4 tsp turmeric powder)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 4 slices of bread

Instructions

  1. 1Put the strawberries in a small pan with a dash of water. Heat on low, stirring occasionally.
  2. 2Combine all batter ingredients in a blender. Let sit for a few minutes so the flax and chia absorb the liquid, then blend. Pour into a container to free up the blender.
  3. 3Rinse the blender and add the warm (not hot) strawberries. Blend briefly for a unified texture.
  4. 4Coat each bread slice completely in the batter. Cook each side over medium heat until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. 5Serve with a drizzle of the strawberry sauce and any desired garnish such as hemp seeds.

Let the batter sit for a few minutes before blending - the chia and flax need time to absorb the liquid for the best coating texture.
